Tag O Rama (Photo-Tag)

ANY TIGER CAN PLAY!! And, if your Tiger is in the shop you're more than welcome to participate with whatever motorcycle you've got.

First person to get the tag gets to post the new target theme. Post a picture of your Tiger with the LAST requested "tag" in the chain, then you get "control" and post a picture of your Tiger with a NEW target. The new tag must be generic enough and standard for anyone around the world to join in and play.

New time limit rule. The tag needs to be completed, start to finish within 48 hours. "Completed" meaning, old tag photo and the new challenge photo need to be posted within 48hours of each other. If the time limit is not met, the challenge will revert back to the old challenge photo. Additionally, 1) After 3 days, the person who made the challenge can post their own picture and pick another topic. (2) If a challenge is not met after 5 days a new topic is picked by the previous challenger winner. (3) If a pic is in dispute, it needs 3 yes votes to be accepted.

No stock photo's for the OLD TAG. You can use stock photo's for the challenge tag (new tag) though.

Challenge photos: Keep things simple in such a manor as to keep the game flowing as quickly as possible. Try not to use "specific" movable objects as they are tough to predict where they'll be at any given time. Again, think of a challenge that will keep the game moving, if they're tricky to duplicate the game will stall.

If someone has an issue with the difficulty of a tag please post here or PM me so I can make some adjustments.

Here is the first challenge. Your Tiger pictured with an industrial chimney.

All I am saying by my above comments is that it doesn't benefit the game at all to post reasons for not getting a challenge or for why a particular challenge isn't to someone's liking.

All that is required is to meet the current challenge. After a person meets it, they can post their own challenge to their own liking. It's a simple game.

If the current challenge isn't to your liking that's fine, no need to do it. You can simply pass until one comes along to your liking.

There is no reason to post about why you can't get a challenge and even more so why you don't like one.

We have really scaled back the difficultly of the challenges, because nobody was attempting even the simplest ones around town, let alone ones out of town or challenges that would require any real time, effort, or distance.

No matter what we do, obviously we will never be able to make everyone happy.

When we had more difficult challenges they were constantly left unmet.

Edit: If people want more unique and difficult to find challenges, I would be more than happy to add some, but it has never been the case where they have been met and the game has always just stagnated.

Not going to dispute what you say, as I'm relatively new here and it wouldn't be my place anyway. Guess I was looking at some of the earlier posts and wondering why it's turned into fast food joints, banks and other round-town structures. If anybody posts an out-of-town challenge, I'll jump in again.

I am not aware of anyone posting fast food joints or banks. Yes, some challenges are round-town structures as you say. I believe you posted a challenge of Dodgers Stadium which I would consider round-town.

My challenge was not of a fast food joint but of a costumed food hawker which happened to be the Chick-Fil-A cow. I also was accepting sign spinners as well. I don't recall me or anyone else ever posting a challenge of a "bank."

As Sean stated...you spend more time complaining about the challenges than actually making any attempt to grab one. If you put as much time and effort into actually going out to grab a challenge it would be better time spent in my opinion.

Your continued negativity and misrepresentation of past and current challenges is getting pretty old with me I have to say. We can't customize a challenge to suit your likes and dislikes...after all it is a "challenge."

You can decide if and when you might want to participate but I for one would appreciate it if you just stopped complaining about the challenges. Let us who are participating in Tiger-Tag-O-Rama ride our motorcycles and enjoy ourselves.

Well I don't believe any of them where fast food joints or banks. The Chick-Fil-A cow just happened to be a single example of a "sign twirler." I met the challenge with a self storage place sign twirler, but they are frequently employed by a multitude of different businesses and business types.

I posted a clock tower, which just happened to be at a bank, but I can also think of one at a church, a recreation center, a seminary school, a University, a gas station and a library near me. It can be any location of your choosing. Bobs original photo wasn't a bank.

Harder challenges went months without being met. People coerced me back into playing, sans Tiger, because the challenges sat with nobody even attempting to get them.

Getting the feeling maybe the game has outlived its usefulness?

Look, what I would like is a game that is inclusive and gets people involved, not one that becomes divisive.

If people have an idea for a better game than Tiger Tag, I am willing to listen. But the honest truth is, people just weren't going out and getting the more difficult out of town challenges, so the game has devolved and been "dumbed down" with the hopes that maybe they would at least grab simpler ones. But no, nobody is grabbing the simple ones either.

But, much like Motorcycle Picture Game in the general forum, the game has mostly died off. That's the way with games. Sometimes they are cyclical and interest renews, other times they simply die off.

Maybe it's time to put a fork in this one.

There is a Regional Tag Challenge for the Front Range here over on ADV and people have to go out and ride and grab that specific challenge. That is much more difficult than what we have here on the Tiger Forum. These guys ride a lot of miles to compete...even at night in the cold.

This can't be any simpler than it already is in my opinion... Bottom line is if someone wants to participate that's great. If they don't that's fine too. To modify or dumb it down more than it is is ridiculous. It's simple really...if you don't want to put in the effort because it doesn't suit you then don't. Just don't be constantly complaining or making excuses.

Thank goodness somebody got it hahaha.

I posted that "unofficial" one earlier and grabbed an official one this AM, but was hanging on to it in the hope that somebody else would grab it.

Since you grabbed it, here is my 2nd unofficial entry and a TANK is the new one :)

Hard for me to say 100% because of the way Photobucket compresses the files and reduces image quality. But I am going to guess the second one is the DSLR based on the better definition in th textures of the brick, etc.

Did somebodys car get broken into? Looks like broken auto-glass behind your front wheel.

#918 ·
You're right, the second one is the DSLR. Both pix were also run thru Lightroom 5 too just to clean them up a little.

The glass is from a car window. I guess you're not even safe parked across from a church anymore. It wasn't there the other day when I first tried to get the picture. :(

Hey blue-star... I went out early and grabbed your tank challenge. Here is a M4A1 Sherman tank...:) Unfortunately I rode by to get my next challenge picture but I must have been too early or because it's Sunday I couldn't get the pic. I'm going out for a ride now so I will have a new challenge later this afternoon...

Well I wasn't able to get the challenge I was attempting to get so it will have to wait for another day.

Your next challenge ladies and gentlemen is a picture of your Tiger with a food truck/trailer. These have to be a mobile eatery and not a "fast food joint." ;)

Below are a few examples...

Dang it! I gotta go on base to get a tank shot. I don't really have access to Camp Pendleton, so it's not easy. I decided to diversify the definition of "tank" and came up with this~ a 1962 R 60 with Ural, dressed up as a Steib 500 hack.

How many dens have a Munch Mammot flanked by 2 Vincent Black Shadows (concours)

This is kinda "tankish."

Actually, I went out of my way to get these, so you're going to see them! LOL!
