Tag O Rama (Photo-Tag)

ANY TIGER CAN PLAY!! And, if your Tiger is in the shop you're more than welcome to participate with whatever motorcycle you've got.

First person to get the tag gets to post the new target theme. Post a picture of your Tiger with the LAST requested "tag" in the chain, then you get "control" and post a picture of your Tiger with a NEW target. The new tag must be generic enough and standard for anyone around the world to join in and play.

New time limit rule. The tag needs to be completed, start to finish within 48 hours. "Completed" meaning, old tag photo and the new challenge photo need to be posted within 48hours of each other. If the time limit is not met, the challenge will revert back to the old challenge photo. Additionally, 1) After 3 days, the person who made the challenge can post their own picture and pick another topic. (2) If a challenge is not met after 5 days a new topic is picked by the previous challenger winner. (3) If a pic is in dispute, it needs 3 yes votes to be accepted.

No stock photo's for the OLD TAG. You can use stock photo's for the challenge tag (new tag) though.

Challenge photos: Keep things simple in such a manor as to keep the game flowing as quickly as possible. Try not to use "specific" movable objects as they are tough to predict where they'll be at any given time. Again, think of a challenge that will keep the game moving, if they're tricky to duplicate the game will stall.

If someone has an issue with the difficulty of a tag please post here or PM me so I can make some adjustments.

Here is the first challenge. Your Tiger pictured with an industrial chimney.

I lived on PCH 1 in Solana Beach in 70 and 71. I had friends in Del Mar, La Jolla, Ocean Beach, Pacific Beach, Mission Beach. I really enjoyed my time there I must admit...today I don't think I would unfortunately...:(

It's 23 degrees F in the Springs currently.

Yeah, there are murals all over the place. I have come across them in towns as small as Peoria, CO and Lewellen, NE. These are towns with populations as small as 200 people.

It shouldn't be a difficult challenge to meet. :)

Just to be clear I am not posting these pic's to grab Sean's challenge. I was out today and I rode by a favorite mural of mine at GB Fish and Chips.. So I took a picture with my Tiger... I am also posting a previous one with my 68T120R just because...:D

I want to leave the challenge open so hopefully some of you guys/gals will get out on your Tigers and grab Sean's challenge and post up a new one for us to get...;)

I was hoping someone would have grabbed Sean's challenge of a mural by now so I could try to grab a new challenge today as I was out for a ride...:(

Oh well...maybe one of you guys/gals will go for a ride today and find a mural and post up a new challenge for us...:dunno

Oh well...hopefully someone can get out and grab Sean's challenge...especially MIV...Venice Beach is one big freakin mural. At least it was last time I was there...:)

I just got home from a very enjoyable 240 mile ride with temp's in the 50's...:D

I don't know that I have seen it before, but great photo!

Since you are asking, am I correct in assuming that this is a (re)post of an older stock photo in order to share with us? Not a new photo in response to the current challenge?

It's to bad I didn't see your challenge earlier blue-star as this would have been more appropriate yesterday. So I went out this morning in the chilly 30 degree temp's to grab your challenge...:)

Here is a picture of my Tiger in front of a statue of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.

I screwed up today. Went to get the pic of the clock tower, perfect spot right across the street. Took the pic and jumped back on the bike. Stopped and took another pic for the new challenge and headed home. Took a couple more pix on the way just for the heck of it. Get home and go to load the pix on the computer and the clock tower isn't there. :banghead :banghead :gah

Supposed to rain for the next couple of days so it will be the weekend before I can try again.

Thats a bummer. Like Bob I tend to check to make sure I have actually gotten the photo before I move on. Learned too many hard lessons about not having the photo I thought I did. Finger or something else in the way, forgetting a memory card in my DSLR's hahaha

We got hit with a few inches of snow today. While it is supposed to work up, I am guessing I won't be able to get out until Saturday at the earliest, maybe later. There is still time! :)

Surely there are Tiger owners in parts of the country and more so in other parts of the world that have fairer weather than Colorado right now. Where are you all at?

Well that sucks blue-star...:( I always check to make sure the picture I took is in fact on my camera...then I take another just in case...:D

No worries though...we are having cold temperatures and snow up this way so I don't believe the Orange Crush Special can get out for a couple of days either...;)

It looks like it's only you, me, and Sean that are showing any interest in Tag-O-Rama unfortunately... Where are all the Tiger Riders...do you guys ever ride?

Oh yeah, we ride.

Lately, I've been leading some out-of-town Triumph riders, on runs in our local mountains/deserts. I can show plenty of pictures of those, but none of them meet the challenges. 72F today and sunny, btw.

Expect showers & 70F on Tuesday. Might be 80F on the weekend, as the other Triumph riders are heading North to Ventura area for a coupla weeks. I bet they find some nice roads there too...:D

But I do wonder if given the overall participation level in this forum, whether this should be expanded to include all Triumphs and moved to the appropriate section? I mean if we're allowing KTMs, it's hard to see why we wouldn't allow a bonnie or STR.

Triumph Tag-O-Rama has a neat sound to it.

There is already a Motorcycle Picture Game in the General Section which includes bikes of all makes and models. I try to stay out of the Tiger game as much as I possibly can, but nobody seems to be willing to make any effort to keep the game moving, so I try to help out by turning the challenge over :)

I like following this thread, but I live in a desert, and it's 150 miles to anywhere. I need to pay more attention to the challenge if I ever do head to other civilized parts. Meanwhile, about all I see is stuff like this (pretty sure it used to be a Starbucks back in the captain Ahab days)
