Anyone here have a Schuberth C2? What do you think of them?

ive had mine now for around 20 months now I find it light, quiet, the sun visor is great, the fit is perfect, very user friendly & it does not steam up (once you work out where to set the vents)
So all in all im really impressed with it & find it a better fit & much quiter than my old shoei xr800 (which I still use)
My main niggle is that it scratches very easy ive got quite a few on mine now so im getting used to it (does not hurt as much as the first scratch)
So when I do replace it will be a schuberth but not for a long time yet.

The price was good too £260 (priced up wrong I did tell you at the time) now I have not seen one cheaper than £320 & where I got mine they are £360 now so Im really happy

How do you find the visor? I've had a Concept for a couple of years and my only gripe other than the noise and weight, which I understand have been addressed to some extent with the C2, is the ***** visor. It is not particularly good in wet weather, and never wants to stay open at speed or in windy conditions. My visor also lost its anti mist qualities in a few months and now is possibly the worst visor I've ever had for misting, even with a Fog City added. I also have to get my wife to use her fingernails to remove the visor when I do clean. None of these were issues with my old Arais, although I recently wore my Quantum F on the road again and I have to say that I wouldn't go back

I've had both Concept and now a C2.
The Concept was written off in a crash last year. The shell did it's job in saving my head when I went down hard enough to break my collar bone and 3 ribs.
I bought the C2 in Germany for €410 which, at the time worked out at £285. A £50 saving over the UK price.
It works just the same as the Concept. Except; the ventilation has been improved. The lining has been changed, is adjustable and is held in with velcro pads. There are extra flaps at the side on the bottom to seal around your neck to reduce wind noise. It's a much closer fit around your neck.

I don't understand the comment about scratching easily. Do you clean it with a Brillo pad?
And the misting. Just click the visor forward at one side and the condensation clears instantly. If you don't know what I'm talking about, read the manual.
The visor removal has been made easier on the C2.
As for noise. You'll never find a quiet helmet when you ride a Tiger. The aerodynamics are krap on the bike. I've ridden an unfaired bike and the C2 is very quiet, but that's comparing it with riding a Tiger (V noisy).
Overall, I'd have another one.

Iv used for the last three years the Lazor revolution. It has the flick up front, flip down sun Visor and I find it quiet enough and no buffeting, (although I do use a Cee Baileys tall screen) The best bit is you can purchase them from 170 quid on the internet.

BlackTiger - re the misting problems I've had - the helmet was excellent when new, with the chin vent open it was only on the coldest days that I would need to push the visor fowards to open it at the top and if it did manage to mist up at a standstill then getting moving would clear it very quickly. However, that only lasted for a short while. This will be only the second full winter I will have worn the Concept through and it is already becoming a liability - not helped by the optics of the visor itself anyway - compared to other helmets I've owned the vision through a wet visor is not as good. This is especially noticeable in city riding in cold weather too and the missing anti mist qualities show themselves. As the visor will not hold itself open at speed I cannot ride with the visor open just a crack and pushing the visor fowards allows rain to trickle down the inside of the visor. Even if the visor could be convinced to stay partially open I have noticed that it does vibrate enough to distort my vision. Yes, I suppose I really ought to buy a new visor, but I'm a tight sod and always used to get three years out of my Arai visors even when I did more miles each year.

Speaking of which, has anyone found anywhere cheaper than http://thevisorshop.com/acatalog/ ? (£32)

Happy enough to stick with it for now, and will be looking at the C2 or Shoei Synchrotec II next year, but unless I sort out the visor I might as well use my Davida Jet.

The easy scratching is I dont put a bag over it when its not in use so if its caaught on something like a gate (very slightly) it scratches easily.

I will agree with you on the visor though it does not mist at all especially when in traffic & you pull the visor forward to let air in its a brill idea.

cheers malc
