I had both a Corbin and the OE King-Queen seats. My 05 Bonneville came with the K-Q seat and it was nice enough. I had heard so much positive info about a Corbin though, that I sprang for one in tan leather, with the passenger backrest (the one without the hole in it).
Boy was it firm! I kept on and eventually it broke in, or I did, and grew to like it a lot. But the tan color was a mistake with the tangerine/cream color of the bike. I sold the bike and the Corbin separately. The Corbin was beautifully made. If I had it to do over though, I'd look at the Russell Day-Long. Had one on a Victory and loved it.

I tried one once and felt a little hard. They say you will get used to it..... I don't know about that.

Just got mine

300 miles and loving it. I could sit on that thing for 800 miles and still smile.

Corbin customized the seat for me. I wanted a flatter smaller passenger seat. It looks ok but not exactly what I wanted.

I'm think I should put four legs on the stock seat and send it to the CEO of Triumph with a dare to sit on it for the day. That stock seat is amazingly bad. It's spreads and applies pressure on the nerve endings with absolute precision.

I have a Corbin Gunfighter seat on my Thunderbird Sport along with the factory solo seat. Very comfortable after break-in. Bought a Corbin for the Tiger about a year ago and it also has broken in nicely.

I like the looks of the Rick Mayer seat. How much should I budget for one?
Rick runs a lot of specials, best to look at his web site often.
When I got my Tiger seat he was doing the leather upgrade for no additional cost. He also offers discounts to certain professions.
See what he's doing when you're ready to order.
I've had five of his seats on different bikes, generally very pleased. I did have to have the one for the 1050 adjusted, it was the first I had done by mail order, had always done ride in before. It was sloping too much forward. I made arrangements on a trip to stop by and he took care of it in no time.

Russell and Corbin buyers are #1 and 2 for sales.

I don't think it's the seat that breaks in, it's our butts get toughened up from stirring on what's basically a concrete slab.
Personally I hate them. (I've owned two bikes with the Corbin)

I have a tiger 1050. After a year and 13k on the stock seat I decided it was time to anti up and get a Russell . Best money you can spend on the bike.

Any chance of a picture? Did you get vinyl or leather? I like Russell's seats, but I'm not sure they'd fit a Tiger XC well. (I had one on a cruiser) Nobody here is talking about Kontour. I like the their concept and the breathable fabric. Any experience?
