Just come back from trade day,not one of the greats i have to say, takes us all of 20 minutes to get there,so those that have to travel might not be so impressed.

Some nice Rukka jackets, but then i should think so,starting £375 and going to £625!!!!!

Hi Winger.

I will be going down to the show next Wednesday. Could you tell me if Triumph have a good display on?...

I am sort of hankering after a rocket 3... but I have had such a lot of fun with the Tiger over the past two years I have owned her that I would find it a pretty difficult bike to want to part with.

Save me boys!!!

TF.

Well don't ask me!!!,the Triumph stand is OK,the new 675 is pretty trick if that floats you boat, and the new Boniville street scrambler is quite nice.

My only question to e'm was to make sure that i could buy an ST without ABS,cuz thats the plan if i don't like the new Tiger.

The guys face was a picture when i asked him about the new Tiger and he said he couldn't confirm or deny it,espeacialy when i said i could confirm it as i know someone whos seen it,well at least the latest version.

If i don't like the new Tiger,i'll keep my old one,and supplement it with an ST.

I've had an eye witness discribtion.but things could completley change in the next 12 months.

Hi chaps,

I was there yesterday to, the Triumph stand is good as are some of the other Manufacturers, but I have to say I thought the show was total *****, if I had had to pay to see It I would not have been impressed.

I think a lot of the dealers that sell stuff have voted with there feet as the cost of a trade stand has gone a bit OTT, I know some of the manufacturers have moaned that customers over the last few years started using it as a shopping trip, well yes & why not, thats what you there for to sell stuff including bikes for next year, it is the smallest show I can remember a real shame.

Come on then guys spill the beans and tell us what this new Tiger is like. I hope its good and not like the new 1200 Gs which I must say from the reactions on the GS site are very poor.

Can they really beat the best all rounder for the money and beat the Tiger 955i IN GREEN OF COURSE ???

I go to the NEC show every year.Last year was poor and this year is even smaller.Very noticeable that none of the Italian makes were represented except Ducati,That must be a bad sign.BMW had lots of GS 1200s and Charlie from the Long Way Round was flogging his books. No doubt this is a massive boon for BMW with lots of people buying the GS and living the dream, each to their own but the basic bike with just a few extras is £10,000.BMW must be laughing all the way to the bank. There was little of interest on any of the Jap stands.Obviously as a staunch supporter of Triumph I spent time there.I couldn't get near the 675 for the crowds so plenty of interest. It's a nice looking bike but has many similarities to the R1.It did look stunning in grey.Triumph are now displaying the Bonneville range in separate categories - roadster and cruiser and the classic bikes were heavily represented. The new scorched yellow is evident on several models and looks very well on the T100 Bonnie.
All in all I thought the show was ok but nothing special. The crowds seemed down on last year. The entry price of £15 plus £7 to park the car (which you need if you are buying lots of stuff) and the price of food and drink might be putting people off.And the show only fills 2 halls. No doubt we will all go again next year.I am guesing the all-new Tiger will be the 07 model.06 is as 05 and in grey, black and blue and is a lot of bike for the money, which is why I bought one.

I was there on Friday & I must admit I quite enjoyed my day out. best bargain (for me) was the visit to the Autocom stand where I picked up a system 3 for £75 which I thought was pretty good, only got to fit it now. They are selling all of this years systems for a 50% discount, clearing the shelves for a range of new models next year.

The show itself is definitely not what it once was, getting smaller & more costly to visit every year. I always enjoy the trip to Birmingham for the show as a social event so I hope they don't move it to London like every other big event seems to be doing or I will not be back, not ever going to go to Earls Court for any event. To much stuff is getting centered in the south east leaving us folks from the extremities of the kingdom out in the cold, shouldn't be allowed.
