Well, I've just decided that my chain has got to be replaced.
My recent trip through France & Spain to the Algarve in Portugal (and back) through some really sh.it weather has finally done for it.
So, has anyone gone further than 33000 miles on one chain?

Please make sure you post well in advance when you are next planning on a trip to Spain/Portugal so we can avoid your dates and stay clear of the c**p weather which must have followed you ! At least they needed the rain. I hear it was the remains of a tropical storm, were you in that ??

Re the Chain. Was that all 33K with a scotoiler installed from the start ? Did you 'fettle' the chain or just let the oiler do the work ??

Scottoiler from new and adjusted every so often but not religiously. Never cleaned it though.

As for the weather. I did have some really good days. It's just that the longer days when I HAD to ride on were 'EFFIN' krap!
