I am watching the longer term weather forecast and hope to get up to Scotland after this coming weekend. I have some family matters to attend to around Largs and PortPatrick area.

I am aware of a few Scots on this forum. If we are not getting deluged again next week, I am riding Tiger up. Give us a few clues for great roads further North !! I am told this is a good time of year with seasons changing, no Midge's or what ever they are. My touring book of Scotland is coming out :-D

Rather than telling you where the good roads are, if you're up here for a wee while I'll certainly be only too happy to show you some good roads.

I'll be down in Ayrshire wed'&thur' next week myself but sadly not on the bike, but anytime either side of that i'm pretty free. I could meet up with you if you like. I'll PM you my mobile no'
No pressure, if you feel like it fine, if not have a great time anyway I think you'll enjoy the roads up here, just try to avoid the main routes and you'll have fun big time.

Here's a video of a guy riding down through Glencoe on a Buell.

It's quite a big file so unless you're on Broadband you might struggle.
I must say he's taking it very canny.

So did I the first time, but then I did watch it again, and it didn't get any better.
