For anyone interested - maybe not quite our scene, but might still be a good chance to see some chrome for us Scotlanders:
"15 October - 16 October
American Chopper Comes to Braehead
They’re big and they’re bad - and that’s just the bikes! American Chopper is the cult custom bike TV show from Discovery Channel, and for 15th & 16th October come down to Braehead and you can see two of the custom bikes from the show up close.
American Chopper is a behind-the-scenes story of the motorbike-mad Teutul family from Orange County, New York. To celebrate the launch of the third series of American Chopper, Glasgow shoppers will get the chance to get up close and personal to two of the series’ most celebrated bikes, the sparkling New York Jets bike and the mean Comanche bike. Some seriously spectacular steel! Plus there is the chance to win your very own mini chopper in a competition, with a prize value over £400.
Since exploding onto our screens in May 2004, American Chopper has built a huge fan base as cameras capture the highs and lows of the Teutuls’ world. Paul Senior (AKA ‘The Boss’) has fabricated custom motorbikes since the 1970’s and his son, Paul Junior, has produced some of the most impressive and unique machines the world has seen, including tie-ins with numerous famous faces such as Ewan McGregor, Jay Leno and Wyclef Jean, as well as making customised theme bikes for Spiderman, i-Robot and the New York City Firemen after 9/11.
Discovery Channel's Natasha Blakemore said: "To celebrate the launch of American Chopper - Series 3, we are delighted to be bringing one of the most expensive and beautiful motorbikes in the world to Glasgow. We anticipate a great response from old fans and new fans alike who cannot fail to be impressed by these mean machines."
Don't miss American Chopper - Series 3 Monday nights at 9pm. Only on Discovery Channel.
