Should the switch for the factory heated grips illuminate when they are switched on?

I was thinking the same thing when I installed my heated grips the other day. "For $200 it should have a lighted switch."

surely you can tell they're on when they get warm !
except on my new Tiger because only one grip is working,I guess a loose connection.

First check that loose connection is not in your arm - try riding with your hands on the opposite grips

I'm having the same problem as you John, only the left grip getting warm on mine.
I imagine it would be difficult to make a coonection to the the twist grip unless it heats the stationary part.
Can't find any loose connections.

Well, my heated grips work fine. It's a shame there's not more range of heat adjustment though, like you get on after market ones. Mine has three heat settings, off, hot, and burn!! But to be fair though, the weather has not got very cold yet.

Hehehe, thanks for posting that PAKA... I've had my Tiger 10 days now (loving it!), and I was gonna bring the no illumination thing up at it's next service.

I know it's perverse, but I'm looking forward to a really cold day here in the UK (middle of October in the UK and not cold yet? Very odd!) so I can test 'em out properly...

:-D Already have the Heated grips on, winter gloves, neck warmer and fleece lining these days. Was down to 5C last week.

My goal this ski season is to ride the Tiger 100 KM to the ski hill, go downhill skiing and then ride home.

Anyone got plans for a ski rack :chug:
