Has any one here taken any long rides on their Tiger? I mean like Alaska to Key West kind of ride. If so how did the bike perform and did it give you any problems along the way? Thanks!

2600 miles in 4 days long enough? Bike was only complaint I had is poor fuel economy. @ 85 only saw 160 miles out of the tank.

Don't know what you're doing to it to get that consumption. A strong head wind perhaps. Or maybe you were in 5th gear!? My 955i gives around 200 miles at that speed.

As for long distances or long saddle times. The best thing I did was to get the gel seat. I've done 12 hour days with only minor discomfort. No aching joints at all. The only thing that still annoys me is the amount of wind noise (I'm still experimenting with screens) ear plugs are essential.
