Has anybody tried long legged underwear (or no under wear at all)! under your leathers when on extended trips on the Tiger?
I have started using the former and found a massive improvement in comfort in the bum/seat contact area.
As a result of this new found comfort I believe that the stitched seams on your normal boxies or Y fronts are the cause of the discomfort experienced by some Tiger owners and might explain why some find no Improvement with the gel seats.
Any thoughts on this? :hihi:

Can't say as I've ever considered riding without, but check these out:

I wear these - simply no finer kit for the bum. A nice sheepskin from:

also makes a great difference. Bottom line (heh heh heh) - if you're not comfortable, you're not going to ride.

I have a firm opinion on this.
Undies with seams are a very bad idea for extended trips. There are major leg veins on the back surface of your leg and these can be restricted by normal undies. Any wrinkle will also eventually be very uncomfortable.

I use pushbike knicks (the knee length kind with chamois in the crotch area) under my leathers. I can and have ridden 17.5 hours with just fuel stops and got off feeling I could have done it again. I use gel seats and a sheepskin.

When riding up north in tropical zones, I usually use the local method of preventing monkey butt and unanted fungal growth. It is called "freeballing" - Work it out for your self!

I use those Lycra shorts that you see the rugby players wearing in cold weather under their normal shorts.
As the others have said ; any seams that are in such a position that you actually sit on them will cause PAIN.
