I'm new to Tiger ownership, having come from sporty Triumphs (Speed Triple,RS and Daytona 955).So I've ridden the Tiger about 700 miles and she's just run in.The Anakees seem ok although I've not really pushed then hard yet.I've been used to Bridgestone 010 and 020.AS I will never take the Tiger offroad, when it's time to change I would consider 020s but they are very expensive for the Tiger sizes.I know there are several choices so what are the opinions out there ?

John,
I'm just back in after a 150 thrash and I'm really impressed with the 020's i've got on. I'ts taken me several hundred miles to get used to the feel of them and boy do they grip.
The only negative with them so far is the lack of feel and slight vagueness under braking on certain road surfaces, I'm comparing them with the tourances.
I paid £182 fitted for the 020's which is on a par with the Tourances.
I went through four sets of Tourances in 18k miles and I never at any time felt they were a compromise, they handled everything I threw at them.

John this whole tyre thing is a question of compromise. I tried Anakees on my first Tiger and they were excellent tyres, with a tad more grip in the wet than Tourances. They're softer tho', and the rear wore out in about 5,000 miles. I just changed the rear Tourance on my current Tiger at 9,000 miles and I have to say the Anakees aren't twice as good as the Tourances to justify the increased wear rate.
AND on the two occasions I've had the pegs down on a Tiger it's been with Tourances fitted.
No doubt some of the newer Tiger owners will swear by BT's and stickier stuff, but the Tourance is still a bloody good tyre for what it is.
Personally if I was in the market for a new pair of tyres I'd look into Bridgestone Battlewings, as they're made for big traillies with a road bias.
By the way...the can's winging it's way to you.

Michelin Pilot Roads fit. They offer tremendous grip and I have mine pretty much to the edges at the back and a lot closer to the edges at the front than I was able to with the Tourances they replaced.

They warm up nicely without getting too hot (so hopefully should last a reasonable time). Very impressive. I run them 2psi below standard.

I had Pilot Sports fitted last time around on the Daytona,as we did a long trip to Switzerland and I had the RAT Highlands trip on return the following weekend.010s would only have lasted 4000 miles which was not enough. The tyres had plenty left on them when I traded in,although I was not as confident in the front as with 010s.It may just have been adjusting to the different characteristics as when all is said they got me round a lap of the Nurburgring ok.
Chris how about this for timing ? Parcelforce are at the door with the can as I am typing this !
I must say that your packaging is a work of art ! I have ordered a new heat shield so that both cans will be safe for pillions and luggage so I'll have to wait fot it tp arrive before fitting.Looking forward to a bit more noise.
