Well, just completed my first ride in the wet on my Tiger. I admit, I wasn't looking forward to it at all. I didn't think those tyres would be up to it (only 2 week old bike, so still on the standard issue rubber).

Took it really easy for the first couple of minutes, then realised she didn't seem to care whether it was wet or dry so started pushing it a bit! I'm extremely impressed by it's performance in the rain. The screen even kept most of the water off my visor if I kept over 60 MPH

Dead happy! Huge grin factor even in the wet and the journey (90 miles) only took me a couple of minutes longer than the dry run.

God, I love this bike!

Cheers,

Mark

I own a Daytonna 955i as well as old Greenie, and I can honestly say that in the wet the Tiger leaves the daytona for dead. I know the Metzlers look frightening for the wet roads but they really are very good. You will hear a lot of arguments in the forum on tyres, but all I can say is Iv never had a problem with the Tourences and this is my second set.

Enjoy it all year round.

I'm with you on that, but I've just changed to BT020's and if the mileage is cr*p I'll be going back to the Tourances.

Tried the available tyres on my 2 Tigers and my conclusion, after going thruogh several sets: Tourance.
Best for grip on varied road surfaces and wet.
Also best for wear (even though the Tiger does NOT encourage tyre conserving riding style)
Got BT020's on my current battleship and am not impressed. Wear fast, cup very quickly and squirmy in the wet. Also NOISY!!!
Metzeler 880 Marathons much better bet on my delicate little Beemer
