Yup, another Daytona to Tiger convert. Did the deal last Sat, picking it up this Sat. It's a nice low miles Silver 04 with panniers, etc. and will be immediately put to work on my daily commute of 110 miles round trip 4 days a week all year. I'm hoping for / expecting good reliability - my other Triumphs were all good (Sprint RS, 2 Daytonas).

I've never actually ridden one (although I have sat on one) but love both my Yam XTZ660 (current commuter soon to be sold) and my Daytona so thought a combination of the two would be good. Not worried about the height thing - the Yam is a tall bike and I've got long legs. The Daytona is a great bike but too fast and uncomfortable for real roads IMO.

Can't wait to pick it up and will post my impressions (and probably some questions) when I do.

Congrats on the bike. My ST4s, like your Sprint, is too uncomfortable (but never too fast  ) for real roads. You will find the Tiger to be obviously taller, but a bit top heavy as compared to the Sprint. You get the handle on the new ride quickly, and will really like it ....... just be careful with the twisties at first. Enjoy

Well done kevm, and welcome to the forum. you'll soon forget all about the Daytona, and I'm sure you'll enjoy the Tiger even more.
