My theory on the screen thing;
Try the bike with no screen at all. You'll be surprised how clean that air is, with the noise fairies just kissing your ears on the way past.
Only problem is, there's a lot of air hitting your chest, and the wind goblin is trying to push you off the back of the bike.
Stick a big screen on and this is what happens; the noise fairies hate this, as they can't get to your ears. No more gentle kissing from them.
But boy, have you upset the wind goblin. He's so mad now, he's turned into the turbulence troll, and he's head-butting the front of your bike, and your face. The faster you go, the more he does it. But at least nobody's trying to push you off the back of the bike.
If you like the noise fairies and can cope with the wind goblin, then keep the screen small.
If you hate all that bloody ear kissing and pushing, then stick a bigger screen on and make friends with the turbulence troll.
There.

Mark-

I agree with what Brock is saying though I am not quite as poetic.

I am also 6'0" and I always had a 't*****' noise when riding with a regular windshield. When I rode with none the noise went away but there was a fair amount of pressure on my chest. The sport screen cuts most of the pressure down (I don't even feel it anymore) without any extra noise.

And yes, you missed something in your options list...a sport screen.

Hope that helps,
Fred

Buy crashbars = $$
Repaint fuel tank = $$$$
Gravity WILL win! If you're a Tiger rider and haven't dropped it - "It just fell over." counts as a drop - you may not exactly be telling the whole truth!
Welcome!
PS- 2002 Goldwing yellow is actually the fastest color. When you get that color on a Tiger, a lighter bike, it can go much faster!

Hiya Slash

First some questions for ya:

Got any piccies of the new bars? Did you have any problems fitting them? Do you have the heated grips?

Ive been thinking of fitting lower bars for a while now, but I've heard that it can be difficult getting the triumph switch gear, bar ends & heated grips to fit.

Hope to see you out and about, I visit that part of the country most days (trouble is I'm usually driving a van ).

From what I can gather, here is the list of all my choices, none of which are really highly endorsed by a lot of people:

1) Taller screen from Triumph
2) Cee Bailey's 1 and 2
3) MRA Vario
4) Some combination of the above and some home grown hacking / spacing / etc.

Did I miss anything?

check out this thread on the Cee-Bailey windscreens.

save you cash and look at another option. Twisted Throttle seels a Givi screen....I may try that one.
