Hi All

Have just returned from holiday in sunney cornwall and have had a great time on the tiger ... But i just wonderd if any one can answer this WHY oh WHY do car drivers in traffic jams try to block bikes when they are filtering through when it is raining. To be fair a few did move over and i thanked them with either a nod or a hand signal. but also a lot moved over on seing me in their mirrors to close the gap on purpouse which realy ticks me off .. Its just somthing that i wonder about any ideas. :???:

It's something about frustrated UK drivers, they just cannot bear the thought that a cursed motorcyclist will beat them in 'the race'.
It hacks me off big time :cuss:

Come the glorious day...they will be the first ones against the wall....no blindfold... :2guns:

tis just those anally retentive types not happy you are going to get anywhere before them. I tend to find most drivers (not all) on the continent seem more bike friendly than UK drivers.

Because they are bored and frustrated that we are making progress and they can't. They have obviously never ever riden a motorcycle. Sad really.

Got to say, here in South Wales the vast majority are good at getting out of the way. In fact I've been pleasantly surprised at how many make a real effort to move out of the way too.

Of course there are those who won't move atall and occasionally one or two from time to time who will actually move to stop your progress (I find a light rap on the rear glass work and a 'move-it' gesture usually does the trick).

I was talking to a mate of a mate and he was saying how much he hates bikes filtering. I asked why and he really couldn't (didn't want to) give me an answer.

Sad really. I don't get it.

old alpinestars motorcross boots with the rough metal toe protectors on the front of the boot. spray painters have had a lot of business patching up the cars that have tried to stop me filtering through. Remember to gas it at the same time so they don't get your reg. plate. :upthumb:

And filtering along the A40 in the morning, its always the BMW drivers that block you.
