August edition of the above (UK) magazine has a 5 page write up of the 'new' '06 Tiger. It's more of a compare and contrast article than an actual road test.

Also, in the same edition is the final appraisal of their long term '05 Tiger.

They're both fairly good reviews, although what put the hackles up on my neck was the following;
"...even the beefiest teuton rider would have trouble heaving it onto the centrestand, which is a job for two people, one pulling on the substantial metal luggage rack..."
Dopey*****.

Yes, I subscribed to MCS for many years before it added the Leisure bit. It used to be a really good magazine and one of the few with literate contributors (especially on the letters pages). But now it's just the same as all the rest - chasing the advertisers' money. I occasionally pick one up but am always disappointed.

Who wrote that, Kylie?.

The Tiger is a piece of pish compared to the Trophy.

Why oh why do people try to lift a 215kg bike onto the centre stand, it doesn't take a genius to work out it's the foot that does the most work. They're designed that way.

Absolutely Tango. Exactly the same with the Commando. Get it balanced level on both sides of the stand and put your full weight on the little footrest and up it goes. Same on the Tiger. Mind you it helps being 100kg.......

I would say that the MSL article is damning with faint praise.

Personally I think that the new Tiger update is somewhat reminiscent of the old British bike industry practice. Change the paint and call it a new model. That way lies stagnation, although change is not always for the best. ( A bit of sour grapes here because I would have bought a blue one if I'd known that they were being released about 10 days after I bought my orange tiger).

Also a bit of a write up in Ride magazine. But, (surprise
surprise) they concluded that the Tiger is way behind the GS1200.

Well i have MSL on prescribtion,couldn't be bothered to even mention it here when it fell through the letter box,because the same dick who murdered the 955 Tiger in 2001 did this test as well, Alan Cathcart,if you think this write up is dubious you should read the original.
