Has any else hear that the 05 Triumph is out in April 04, its from a very reliable source,

I have been told that the 2005 Tiger has been brought forward, and it will come with cast wheels, new brakes & suspension up rated etc, this was released at a dealer conference in the last couple of weeks, the bike is expected in April. it had a slide show and everything, I hear its nice, plus it has lost its eyebrows on the front faring were the lights are. From what I know the current model is not available from Triumph, well not in Black.

What no you :-D

Not heard that.
If it does turn out to be true, I would say it is Triumphs response to BMWs R1200GS which (on paper) looks like being quite a tool.

Hey Mutley

I also heard a story onlong the same vain, I think Triumph are trying to keep it under wraps at the moment. The pics that I saw showed the bike with alloy cast wheels which looked really poor it was a cross between an overgrown supermoto and a harley fat boy. also they have gone a bit mad with the graphics as well, stripes and lines everywhere.
The brakes are supposed to be a bit better as well

But still each to their own !! :-x

I have not seen anythink NEW there was talk of an update. cast wheels swingarm.

the new 1200 WMB looks good for that adventure along the high street but has a CAT and fly by wire technology.

how would one fair at a typical Indian gas station?

for a true adventure dual sport bike basic is best

this is fully kitted out with all the gear all the time
full safety gear? Towel on seat
:-D

If you can wait Mutly then I hope that it is worth it. sometimes new is not better, we will see

Robbie, thanks for that I am now crapping myself, if the bike turns out to be aweful then thats me well & truely shafted.

Triumph will not release any Pics at the Mo to allow the dealers to clear current stock, it better be nice

The dealer says it's OK and an improvement, my only dissapointment is that it does not come in Black, so I have had to settle for Silver

Fingers crossed, I'll let you know, if it turns out to be minging I could always cancell it.

My local dealer did say that the next version would have cast wheels that wouldnt fit the earlier bikes. If you think back to the special released by mumero tre a couple of years ago this might well be the way forward. That bike looked stunning, and had the daytona engine.

it also had a SSSA if memory serves me right. i wouldnt expect it to look too much like that though, look at the pigs ear they made of the S4 compared to some of the better looking options that were floating about at the time.

i hope they make it better, not hugely different. The current Tiger is better but similar to the older version. this keeps it a Tiger.

No black but a BRG to go with the silver and orange

we could have a prize for the person who spots the most changes :-D
