Just a quick enquiry 'cos my bike isn't where I live, so I can't just go look.........is it a front fairing off jobby to change the headlight bulbs for some of those Blue Vision numbers or can it be managed while all is intact?

Thanks in advance.

I think it is.

I took of the fairing to change the bulbs, but it really is simple.

Remove the screen with the four screws.

Remove the black indicator mountings, 2 torx screws on the outside and 1 hex head on the inside (I think).

Remove the the 2 hex bolts behind the screen and of the fairing comes.

You can then access the headlights, but I seem to remember having to unbolt them as well to get to the bulbs.

Thanks for the info.

Sounds like a 12000 mile service to me what with all that Torx and Hex et al. Still, that's why Im not a technician (new word for mechanic, apparently, and the reason why servicing is soooooo expensive. Same knowledge - trendy name = more expensive - EASY ! A good one is worth their weight in gold, a bad one.....well).

Might give it a go when I've got a few days free.
TTFN.

Hi Gizmo,
I changed my 955 Tiger headlight bulbs without removing the fairing. Just reached in, pulled the rubber rear cap off. Unclipped the bulb holder, removed the bulbs, unplugged the wires and reversed the procedure. The only fiddly bit is getting the bulbs plugged into the wiring. A torch helped here but it was not too hard.
