Has anyone tried the Jack Lilley Tall screen?

I fixed mine by covering the opening at the bottom of the screen and adding a Laminar Lip.

Hi Charlie,

Yup, I have the JL Tall Screen, it did help the buffeting and noise slightly, however, I ended up taking a jigsaw to it and cut out a large semicircle from the bottom of the screen (to increase the airflow up into the cockpit area). This has made a great difference, there is only a very slight buffeting now at over 60-70mph. I can't really speak for wind noise as I tend to always wear earplugs and don't find it a problem. The cutout has the curve of a dinner plate and extends up far enought to expose the two bolts that mount the fairing/instruments?.

I am guessing that a bigger cut out would even up the air pressure in the cockpit even more but I am concerned with overly weakening the screen.

Hope this helps

Steve.
