Lowering kit
Can you get one for the Tiger and if so, how much does it lower it. How high would you say the seat height would be?
Sorry if I've already posted this question.
Cheers

I've used a lowering kit on both an '07 and now an '08 (bike is lowered about 1.5"), and it is only a little taller than my '03 Bonnie with the K/Q seat. I also have a 29" inseam. I get the front part of both feet on the ground--I have no desire to "flat-foot" it on any bike.

Hi Rose,
You can get suspension lowering plates that will drop the bike down by 25mm or 35mm depending on which kit you buy, see the info below copied from the "tiger 1050 forum"
http://www.tiger1050.com/index.php?o...6&topic=4468.0
( Are you struggling to touch the ground ) If so these rear suspension lowering plates are for you, £38.00 including post & packing G.B( I now do 25mm and 35mm LOWERING PLATES, MANUFACTURED IN STAINLESS STEEL ) 35mm plates are + £4.00 If interested contact me at mick416818@yahoo.co.uk
hope the above is of some help

I've lowered mine with those plates from Mick and I can't spk highly enough of them. Went for the 25mm and suits me well. 30 inside leg.

Lowering
In addition to lowering plates you need to raise the fork tubes. Have your cobbler add about a 1/2 in. to the soles of your riding boots. I think you will be fine with the plates and boots. The Tiger handles better than the Bonnie and I think actually weighs less. One leg flat footed is more than adequate for most situations.
