The Wee-Strom ABS Won Out
Good Morning Guys and Gals,
I've been looking at both the Wee-ABS and Tiger ABS as the replacement bike for my Concours C-14. After a lot of investigations and riding the two, I made the decision to go with the Suzuki. I'll pick it up early next week.
It has been fun learning about the Tiger from all of you but I'll be moving along.
Ride safe out there.

I don't blame you going with something else now the Tiger is no longer a "Big Trailie"
Once my 955 is past it's best, I'll be moving on to pastures new, but it will probably be German (GS1200).
I still can't come to terms with Triumph turning one of the best Big Trailie's into a common as muck road bike - what a waste

That made me smile, don't ever go to the Triumph factory on one of their tours and start talking about offroading and big trailies when mentioning the Tiger(any) they'll be rolling around laughing their heads off, more like VFR with more suspension travel is how they view them.

Actually I reckon the Wee is better on the gravel than a 955 anyway, good luck with your choice.
The 955 is a much nicer package overall, but you can't get one new anyway.
I have no idea what I'll do if my 955 gets totalled/ worn out. The BMTroubleyou's final drive issues etc are still a concern and the Katoom is not as good a tourer.
Hopefuly there are plenty of 955s not being ridden much and being very well looked after!

Ok then, what would you call the Wee-Strong, Tiger 955, BMWGS1200, Varadero, etc ??

By "Wee-strom", do you mean the DL650? Congrats on whichever V-Strom you chose. They are nice bikes.
I've checked out the DL1000SE Touring at my local dealer but lately I've been reading about the 1250 Bandit ABS Touring because it goes for the same as the DL1000SE V-Strom non ABS around here. Can't quite figure out why it is the identical price because it seems to offer a lot more. Perhaps it is because V-Strom has such a good reputation that they are charging a slight premium.
I ride a Triumph Bonnie now, but Suzuki has been good to me over the years - super reliability, plenty of bang for the buck and all around good motorcycles.

Cycles,
This is a DL650 ABS model. I've seen a ton of them on the road and have never heard a serious compliant from any of the owners.
There is nothing wrong with the C-14 ABS that I've owned for the last two years but I'm to the place in my life where I need something lighter and with a more upright riding position. Simple as that.
Ride safe out there.

Graham, who mentioned the 955? not me .
As for the others you mention.... well Suzuki had to get on the bandwagon and find another use for the TL engine, BMW....now your havin a laugh, totally missed it and should have stayed with the 1150. Dont know much of the Valerado, except to say it looks a porker that should have been shot at birth
