Has anyone thought about or had any luck with extending their side mirrors on their Tiger? If so, where did you get the product? The standard mirrors on my '05 Tiger seem a little narrow to me, and it makes it somewhat difficult to see behind me without shifting my riding position to get my arms/shoulders out of the way.

I put extenders on mine and love them. I don't know what brand they are. I got them off a guy at the other Tiger site.

The JL extenders are the cat's pajamas, but watch that exchange rate - I felt rather foolish paying nearly $50 for two lengths of threaded aluminum! It nice to look at the mirrors and see something other than my shoulder.

Can you just bend the mirror stems farther outboard?

How do the mirror extenders effect your ability to filter through heavy traffic?

Err being a larger than average rider (oh all right fat git). I find this a bit of a puzzle. Have you tried moving the bars and mirrors about a bit. I have absolutely no problems with the mirrors and can see without moving the e/bows. Have you got standard bars or has someone been at the parts bin? :???:

I did mine, very easy. Just buy some coupling nut with the right thread 10x1.125 but not sure, i dont remember, i'll check and correct it here. Personally, I retapped some imperial size I had. Then buy the according screws about 40 mm long. Screw it in with permanent loctite and cut the head at about a bit more than 1cm. Some flat black paint and there you go with your new extender. I notice that it reduce some weird noise around the helnet. Mine working for long. The best cheapest mod I did.

coupling nut:
