Leaving the fold
Just to say thanks to everyone for the great input on this forum, has helped me no end with the little niggles etc on the tiger but was time for a replacement,
The tiger is 4 years old and 25000 miles, been many places with her, just back from Holland two weeks ago but time to change, wanted a more managable tourer and as Triumph dont fill that gap have reverted back to Honda, pick it up in the morning, (26/09/09),.
Once again keep up the good work and you never know i might return in the future.
Mike

Hey Mike, good luck with the new ride. What did you get?
Could've traded you my Sprint if you were nearby...
You can always visit, you know?

Here's my Angle!!
Bought a new Tiger in 99, bought another in 2001,cost me the old bike and £2500,afterwards said to other half, you know if i'd keeped the first bike 4 years i'd still have the bike, and 5 grand to spend on another or 6 years and so on,and thats exactly what i've done, the Tiger is 9 years old next year with 30,000 miles,i'm a little panic stricken as there's still no obvious replacement, but the plus side,i've a couple of other bikes i've bought with the money i've saved over the years,so the Tiger only gets wheeled out for Holidays and long distance trips.

Thanks for all the well wishes and all ride safe.
Have traded her in for a 2008 Honda CBF 1000 GT with only 731 miles on it, hope its as reliable as the tiger has been.
Changed her becouse of the weight and ballance issues rather than milage etc, i know the 955i is good for plenty of miles. but im getting older ( and maybe weaker) and wanted something with a lower c of g etc and more managable at low speed traffic.

GREAT choice of a bike, Mike. As my father would say, 'use it in good health!'
