My Anakees will only last me another thousand miles or so. I have been very happy with them overall.

I am deciding between another set of Anakees and the Pilot Road, which is apparently now available in the proper sizing.

Can anyone provide any feedback on the Pilot fitments for the Tiger with reference to sport riding, street, and touring? No, I don't care about off-road performance.

Cheers

Adam

I have never used the Michelins but others available for road use are BT20's and Continental Road Attacks.

Conti's are NOT available in Tiger sizes. Work great on my Sprint.

My Tiger likes to explore so I am thinking of TKC 80's next the Anakees are great on road and in the wet. They get slick in the dirt.

These are available for the 19-inch front too?

YES!

I am just waiting on the 19'arriving for my Tiger. The rear is at my tyre dealer as we speak and the front is currently on back order. He could fit BT20's tomorrow.

I was quoted €118 for the front and €142 for the back fitted and balanced for the road attacks and €132 F/ €164 R for BT20's again fitted and balanced. These prices include vat @21%

Sorry m8 you are WRONG. They are available, I have even been given the price. They perhaps are not shown on Continental's website but neither are dozens of other sizes that are available!

I had a set of Pilot Roads on my Bandit and they were a good combination of sticky and mileage. I got about 7000 miles out of them.

I have Pilot Roads on my Trophy. They seem to work pretty well wet or dry, wearing a little faster than the Avon's I took off but so far they seem acceptable. I got 17k out of Michelin Macadam 99X's on my Bandit by the way, but only because I had to. They were well and truly nackered by then.

I have just had a set of Road Pilots fitted to my tiger. Mind it has 17 inch wheels. I then departed on a blat round France only to find that the fitting of Tyre gel/ gloops/ inner***** that HGB fitted to the front settles out at 70 and transforms a great front tyre into a pogo stick.
Warning... I dont know if its a tyre thing (I doubt) or the fact that HGB of Ruislip are total pratts, and I am an even bigger one for going there, but whilst I would recommend the tyre, DO NOT fit tyre gel without serious thought.
On the other hand I can recommend a tyre fitter in Berk sur mer.. easy to spot him... he is bright blue with second hand tyre sealant :-D :-D

I went through a set of 020's and a set of Pilot Road's on my Daytona 1200, and I can say that the Pilots were superior in every meaningful category. They had more stick in the dry, they lasted longer, they were much better in the wet, they made the bike steer more lightly, and at the same time the front provided more feedback.

If it is true that the Pilot Road is now available in the Tiget size, I'll have a set the same day I pick up my Tiger.
