parts not available

Been trying to get an original back box and all the bits needed but no dealers stock them and triumph cant give any dates when they will be available, poor show i think,
So can anyone reccommend a back box that my better half can also use as a back rest, Givi?

Also where can i find the pick up point to attach the aux power lead?
My handbooks in the (strike) post.

Thanks people

Had The Tigger a week and loving it!!!!

I've used a 50 ltr Givi top box for some years(10+) re the back rest, blimey NO,over 30 years ago when i first had my other half on the back for the first time,,i read her the riot act about leaning backwards, you'll have a right game getting the bike to steer were you want with passengers weight going backwards instead of forwards, she sits leaning forward hands on knees,it's a knack, there's as much to passengering as there is to riding a bike.

Never had an issue with the wife using the backrest on the topbox? If nothing else is provides them with a sense of security of not feeling like they are falling off the back of the bike.

I've got the factory Top box, it's small and you can't get a full face helmet to fit in. My previous box was a Kappa 46Ltr. came with a mounting plate which could be fiited to either a rack or plate. And a back rest pad was an optional extra. Key operated and could be removed leaving the plate in situ. Retailed for about £90-100. And two helmets would go in.
Theres other options and mountings at Triumph Online links on this site.

Assuming you got a 1050 theres an aux lead pick up on main loom just behind the engine towards the tank. Triumph have a
habit on wrapping the loom with blue tape at the pickup point. which you may be able to see! if viewed from nearside (left) and fiddle it down without removing the tank.Theres also the GPS pickup behind the Nose Cone. Both are permanant live, so depending what you wish to use it for you may want to add a switch into the connection.

Theres a couple of OEM racks on Ebay also one with Top Box if you want to stick to Genuine Parts!

Might do the job!

I have a 955i with the Triumph factory top box. 2 helmets (Shoei Raid II + Arai Chaser) fit in together in their helmet bags with Scala headsets attached.

They must have later bikes. The luggage volumes all got smaller.

I have a Givi 47 liter box on the Sprint. My wife has never been happier. I'm not crazy about the look; but the utility is great and my passenger is happy. Now she's happy two-up for everything from grocery shopping to long trips.
