XGS,

Welcome along, glad you like the Tiger!. There have been many threads on the Tiger V GS theme. Your words however sum up the general feeling that the Tiger is on helluva bike

P.S. It only gets better from here on in  and why the thumbs down avatar on your posting ?....accident?, or some hidden meaning in your words ??

Cheers
Jim

Welcome XGS,
Show us yours. Some close -up pics of how they've tidied up the hoses and wiring would be interesting. What colour you pick?

Like the name XGS - just got it!!

No reason for the thumbs down other than my incompetance. Previous GS's were the100 1100 &1150 had go on the 1200 & quite liked it but not enough to pay the money.Anyway I think I made the right move getting the Tiger which I love to bits.

Hi XGS, and everybody else :-D

Just finished the running in of my ยด06 Tiger!

It is a very good bike and works just fine on any type of surface. But I do have the same problems as the most of you ?!?

My last bike was a Bonnie and I had no problem with buffeting. Well, there is no fairing to obstrukt the wind so you just hang on to the bars

I have tried to raise the screen 1/2" off the fairing, but that changed everything for worse. At low speed the wind started to come in from the sides of the fairing. At higher speeds the buffeting was worse the ever and the front end of the bike felt week and unsteady. I've ordered the sports screen to see if that makes things better. Don't mind a bit of wind as long as it's steady. Guess the stock screen will be used for the longer runs.

Also ordered the gel seat 'cause me bum hurts when making +100 miles travels  Still it's better than the Bonnie

That said, I tend to forget all these little problems when going for the dirt roads and smaller roads around my home. It's mint
