VIN sticker on frame

I noticed this when I was at the dealer for tires, but I forgot to post about it. We went out to get the VIN for the work order and noticed that most of my VIN sticker is gone! Looks like the adhesive failed. It was there last year... I remember seeing it and I remember that it was loose on one corner. Should have stuck it down, but forgot. Thank goodness the actual VIN is stamped into the opposite side of the head tube. Is there any chance in hell that Triumph could re-issue this? I assume if they can, I will have to have the dealer install it, and I'm sure there would be a paper stack a mile tall to authenticate it. I'm picky, and it bothers me that its gone!

I could see the one on my 2008 S3 flapping in the breeze. So when at home I saw that it was half off. It easily pealed off and I put it in a baggy and put it under the seat. With the number stamped on the frame I don't think it's a big deal to lose the sticker.

Cool

Not to hijack this thread, but I have the vin stamp and Triumph script portion of the packing box my Bonneville came in on my garage wall. Says "Triumph Go Your Own Way" which I cut in an oval shape.

I got a replacement from Triumph through my dealer. I emailed Triumph US directly and they sent it to the dealer.

The VIN sticker on my '05 Tiger is not completely tacked down either. I'm sure it will come off in time.

Thanks Bill. I called Triumph.......problem solved. All I have to do is take it to the dealer to compare the stamped VIN with my registration and make sure my name on my ID matches the registration and then they will call Triumph to get the new decal ordered. They said it should take about a month total. Then when it comes in (sent to dealer) I have to get the dealer to stick 'er on.

Sweet!
