I was comparing the available tunes for the 955i Tigers and noticed a big problem. The Tunes available for the Tiger are with standard exhaust and with race can. The only problems is THEY ARE THE SAME FILE! Either I'm running my bike on the standard tune, or everyone with the standard pipe is running on the race tune.

I sent an e-mail to Wayne and Emma, hopefully they will respond with the correct tune.

I'm referring to the Tuneboy tunes that were converted from the Triumph tunes. So to answer your question, I don't know which source is at fault.

If the Triumph tunes are messed up and Tuneboy converted them over then it's all of them. Most likely it was an error when converting the corecct tunes from Triumph.

Below is the response I recieved from TunBoy

It looks like the problem was on their end.

-------------------------------------------------------------------------

I should have picked that up before now. Thanks for bringing that to my attention.
Attached is the 10120,10121 and modified 10121AF.
You should find that the 10121AF works better than the standard 10121.

Sorry for any trouble.

Wayne

As you say, it sounds like tuneboy has enclosed two standard or two aftermarket tunes.

I know the Triumph ones are different.

How do the tuneboy ones compare to what is actually in your Tiger?

The converted tunes are the same as what the dealer pushes to your ECU. What he had on the web site were the stock pipe tune. He has sent me the tune for the race can. If anyone else needs this, please let me know and I'll forward it. If anyone has the ability to host a file, let me know and I'll send it to you to post.

if they are the same then is there any point to the tuneboy?
There must be some sort of difference between them and the standard Triumph ones?

No they are Identical when you download. The benefit to tuneboy is the ability to edit them in endless variety. It's best to start from the official tune though. I sposse if you were a tuneing genious (which I am not) you could write one all yourself.

You can also use Tuneboy along with a DynoJet station to make a custom tune just like you would with a powercommander.

The stock tunes are a way of getting your bike back to default.
