Ordered a set for my son's 2012 Tiger 800XC last Sunday (May 8, 2016) and they arrived Monday (May 15, 2016). Bolted them on the Tiger this afternoon and all went well. The biggest issue was getting the socket off the U bolt nuts after they were tightened. The horn bracket is real close. Anyhow it is all good. I was shocked to get them this quick. I can't get a part in the US any quicker. Had looked at several options and liked the Heed best. Bought them through ebay for $250 delivered.
I (mistakenly) purchased the Triumph engine guards for my 2016 Xrx and they're tiny! Looks like Heed are much better! GearHd6's comments make me hesitate though...
i was looking for crash bars and saw the HEEDs on ebay.... thaks for posting the pics! they look like they would cover ti all for a decent price. now on the generations.... is it my understanding that all 2010 to 2014 are the old gen (and can swap parts interchangeably)?. and it looks llike your pics are of a 2015+ if im correct and IMO it looks pretty good.
Got the Heeds mounted over the weekend. Turned out pretty nice! I'll post up pics when I get to work. Can't post pics for some reason from my iPhone on this site?
First time taking the beak off, that was no fun getting back on with the upper Heed bracket. A little more wiggling & fidgeting. Otherwise the bars mounted right up. Key thing is keeping all bolts loose until 100% together, and saving the u-bolt under the headlights last to tighten.
Happy with the results!
