Hi everyone though I'd post these pics up for anyone interested in the new tracker style panniers could not get a cost here in UK as they were a bit busy going in tommorow so will hopefully get a costing
Agree I got the UK price today for just the panniers and mounts £900 that just to supply no idea what fitting costs but @ that price I want it for free on a new bike
Great Looking. That is exactly what I want for mine. Did you take a shot from the rear. Is installing myself an option. The only part that concerns me is making the key work. What's your thoughts.
Sry Wrkithot I could not get round back of bike for what I could see is they did not have a cut out on exhaust side .I believe that you could fit yourself as for the key I believe they just put the barrels supplied with bike in place job done but perhaps someone could inform you better.the bike has been sold so I can't get any better pics hope this helps
Thanks for the info. Hopefully someone will have more info on the key question. I'm looking forward to getting my machine dressed up and hitting the road.
Nice one Wrkithot just a bit off info if u don't have the 2015 model tiger the longer chain guard from the new 2015 models will fit the older models I just got mine today happy as it will stop the lube splash on rear frame and wheel better than those cheap hong Kong rivit jobs
Relative the lock cylinders: One merely drops them in the matching locking port - they have only one way of being inserted - and they drop in and lock with the key. Done. Do the other and top case, if applicable, and you are ready to roll. I just bought the entire Pannier Set and Rack Kit for the XRX and the dealer just printed me out the "Accessory Fitting Instructions" from their computer (.pdf) and I'm going to install myself. You could probably get the instructions on-line or by contacting the Mothership Triumph. Good luck and Cheers.
Good info sir. I wasn't worried about installing the boxes but I am no locksmith. They state on the triumph site that the bike key operates the boxes so i was a little worried. Let me know how your install goes. I will be buying a 2014 xc. It's new they used for a demo so it has low miles and I get a deal.
I put them up for sale in the flea market here. I bought a used 2016 XR and these came with it. Looks like they were never used - no rubs/bugs/etc and the inspectors stickers are still inside.
Nice bags, I'm just going a different route with some other Givi items I already have.
1. How are these new? They've been out for a year.
2. Could you have taken the photos with more of a potato camera?
3. What the eff does "Tracker Style" mean? Is that some weird Brit term?
Lastly, if you want photos of the Adventure bags, I own them all with the new 2015 Tiger 800 XCx and will happily take high resolution photos (with a non potato camera) of them and share them here, just ask.
You were right Capt Mako the locks dropped right in. The dealer ship put them on for nearly nothing so I went with that. The bike came with the drop ins. It is nice to have one key to do it all.
You have no idea... When I had a Sprint ST, I had 6, yes SIX different keys for my motorcycle. All three bags had different keys, my ignition, disk brake lock, and helmet lock were all different keys! :|
I have cleaned this up and have deleted a few posts in this thread. It is getting a bit carried away with photo critiques. If anyone prefers to critique photos, I might suggest this site or this one.
Are the key cylinders the same as the previous Tigers ? I have the original plastic panniers and I don't like them much. I was thinking about getting these but if I can't reuse the lock barrels I have then I don't want to trade out for these new ones.
The local dealer is incompetent when it comes to ordering new barrels/keys and wasn't able to match my key so I had to rekey the lock barrels myself.
I can't speak for the previous Tiger generations but I did notice the key shape is the same as my previous Sprint ST. I hope this helps in some way. :nerd:
I just realized I'm kinda retarded. I could just go to the dealer and have them cross reference the part number for the replacement cylinders for both panniers.....
