Has anyone seen this fender mod?
Anybody seen or know what this mod is where the center insert of the fender used to be, appears to be a light. I like it and have been looking for info but cannot produce results with searches.

I'd say it's a Touratech prototype or just a one off they created. Looks like they just cut the recess out of the beak and then filled the remaining gap with some plastic sheeting of some sort.

It's definitely a light of some sort. Touratech sells some universal lights so maybe they made one of those fit in there.

Yeah, new it was a light, I'm just thinking it is a good mid-level, yet well protected, location.
Kudos to BoKnows for pointing it out. I've glanced at that particular photo a few times while trying to decided on a lens protector and completely missed it. Looks like a future fabrication project to me! Even if I can't find a reasonably priced lamp to fit in there, I KNOW I can find some sort of colored LED marker light that would make the bike pretty distinguishable above the crowd.
Come to think of it, I don't need the headlights to be distinguishable.... It's the only one in town!

If you choose red or blue, you"ll certainly have a unique Tiger 800XC. You might wanna check about impersonating an LEO, though...

Blue is illegal in all states except with the proper permits. LEOs do not take kindly to RED on the front of a vehicle. On my Tiger I have amber and white on the front and red and white on the rear. The BMW has full RED and BLUE front and rear as required by the FPA.

Yeah, so long as you can get to it to turn it on and off.
And if it's a Touratrash lamp then you bet you bank balance that it'll cost your, er, bank balance.

Interesting idea for a lamp location. I have to say though, that between the aux lights and the twin headlights, this bike has superb lighting. I'm not sure the middle eye light would get you much.
Then again, at night any extra light is usually good.
