Adventure fog light kit for the 800 availability?
I've been waiting for two months while my dealer says the oem adventure fog light kit is on back order. I'm really getting a different impression. Are they truly on back order? if so, is a production issue or does someone hear rumor they are being revamped. I really want to order from someplace else but don't want to get them and have a "new and improved" version come out the next day.
Thanks gents!

I haven't heard anything about them updating the lights. I see them all over Ebay so I have a hard time believing they're on back order but I guess it's possible.

That's a GREAT price for the kit. I paid about the same from the dealer who sold me my bike (Triumph of Swansea MA), and he had them in stock.

I just spent a couple weeks in MA hoping I would pic a set up while I was there. The only dealer I got a chance to hit was the one in Shrewsbury, at 5 to 5. They didn't have any in stock, nor were they happy to see me there at quitting time to pick up a pallet of Polaris returns.
Anywho, ordered a set and anxiously awaiting their arrival. Next step will be to try and etch the aluminum so flat black will stay on.

Performance Cycle in Shrewsbury MA is the dealer closest to me and they're a good one for parts and service, on a par with Great Bay as for as price negotiating on new bikes (as in, virtually none.)
Which dealer did you order from? You should get a discoount from the one that sold you the bike, so I would go there and did when I bought panniers, adjustable touring windscreen and adventure fog lights.

If I end up needing a dealer I might try Performance or Marks. The only reason I can see needing a dealer in future is for the idle stepper motor.

I had the chance to included the light kit for $240 when I bought my bike. I saw no real valid reason to have them so I passed. Still haven't seen the need for them as of yet.
Installing 55/100 watt bulbs in the headlites seems to reduce the need for the little lamps.

Aux lights
Hi men. I have a set of the factory lights. I bought them over the other brands because I wanted the plug n play, clean install, that they offer. No cutting or spicing. Went on fairly easy, you do have to remove most of the plastic, just takes awhile. Thing is, they really are fog lights, and as such, they give a wide area in front. But if you're looking to light up the road at a distance, I think you will be disappointed.
The led's from Rigid Ind. and Vision X are monsters, check out some of the videos, very impressive. Twisted sells a bracket very similar to Triumph's, so you shold be able to get a close to factory appearance.
If I hadn't already bought the factory lights, I would have got either of those.

Good to know Ed. I have thought about the auxiliary lights but I'm still shocked out how bright the stock headlight is. If I were to ride at night in the woods I think the auxiliary lights would be great but I'm comfortable with just the headlight for road use.
