Here's a shot of mine with the Holans. For some reason, the pic seems to be uploading upside down, hopefully, it will self correct. If you do a side by side comparison, you'll see they are much thicker metal. 2 mm vs 1.5 on Trax. Regardless of what the ads say, Trax leak. Holan uses two sealing surfaces, so unless you take them swimming,your gear is totally dry. The mounts are stainless, which is nice too. Best of all, they were quite a bit cheaper than Trax and miles less than Zegas or Metal Mules.
Re: Stateside availability. I know the person who was importing them previously. I don't want to misquote him, but I think it was a case of orders not being filled consistantly. He was getting blamed for the back orders knew his reputation would suffer, so he quit importing them.
Hopefully they will get it together at some point and become available again.
Went to the moto show in Long Beach Friday, Tourtech had a prominent display there. The panniers were $1750. That's stupid. I left there not even inquiring the other products they offer as I was turned off by their pricing. Too bad too...
