Sorry if this has been asked and answered already in a previous thread but does anyone know if the front fender on the Tiger 800 XC model will fit without modification on the standard Tiger 800 model?

My dealer only has the XC models in stock and don't have the standard to compare it to.

No is the answer.

The triple trees for the 800 & XC are different. 800 wider wheel, XC larger diameter forks. The XC fender is too narrow for the 800

Are you talking about the fender itself or the XC beak? Many Roadie owners have put the XC beak on the Roadies. Don't know about the fender.

Thanks for that. I appreciate it. I know the wheel is a different size but didn't know if the part would bolt right on. I ride a Daytona 675 but someone I know was asking me about this and my local dealer only has XCs on the floor at the moment so they couldn't compare.

They sell the beak for the standard as an accessory but someone wants to swap the front mudguard I guess you would call it from the XC on to the standard. Maybe it is splattering water or something?
