Exhaust options

I was looking a different exhaust options recently and came across this:

I was under the assumption that only the weight and sound of the bike would be noticeably changed. According to the video, looks like increased performance makes it a trifecta. I placed my order yesterday but have been reading that Leo Vince is on backorder (sayitaintso!) Cant wait to see what an exhaust and lowered front tooth sprocket do to this thing. C'mon NY weather!!

I went with the Carbon Leo. Hoping it goes better with the black frame. Plus I hear they distribute heat a little better. Its supposed to be here this week. Got excited so I loaded the arrow tune already. Unfortunately I wont be able to test it out until the weather permits. Hopefully that will be soon! Ill let you know what I think.

No retuning needed

I got a carbon Leo Vince last summer so I could run soft bags without worry about them melting on the hot exhaust. No retune was needed. LV state there is no need to remap.

So if you feel like remapping go ahead, but it isn't absolutely necessary.

BTW, the carbon LV IS cooler and has not damaged bags which sit on it.

Might check with Engle Motors (Triumph / BMW dealer) in Kansas City. I believe they have them in stock and would mail one to you for small fee.
I paid $250 plus tax for mine which is a great price for a great slip on.
PM me and i will give you the contact informaion.

Unfortunately I haven't had a chance to run the bike with the new pipe yet. Sent my headers out to be painted and still dont have them back. Meanwhile it was 80 degrees here in NY yesterday  and I'm ready to ride now!!

I took the baffle out so that is why I loaded the new map. Otherwise, I have heard the same about leaving the stock map. Glad to hear about the heat benefit with the carbon!

Yeah. I originally was going to get them ceramic coated. I brought a few pieces to get powder coated and was given a great price on the heat resistant paint, so I couldnt pass it up. They originally tried a silver-ish color to blend with the brushed look on the pipe end but it didnt match, so I settled on black. Its supposed to withstand up to 2400 degrees. If it doesnt hold up he said he'll dip them for free.

When I figure out how to upload a short video....it was 6 of the Bonneville Scramblers, from a club in Italy...touring in Tunisia. All the bikes heavily modified for serious desert riding and with nearly straight through exhausts.....don´t try this in Germany!
