Welcome

Welcome to the Tiger 800 Tech forum!

This forum is for technical discussion around maintenance, modification and improvement for the new Tiger 800 and Tiger 800XC bikes.

Please feel free to ask questions and post information here relating to such technical matters.

Many thanks, and welcome!

Before he did it, I'd have said it couldn't be done.

Loving my Tiger 800 roadie, just have one annoying fault. On bumpy roads / potholes I have a horrible noise from the left hand rear of the bike. I suspect chain slap but tightening the chain seems to make no difference.

Has anybody else experienced this?

Apologies! Please delete my comment - I can't work out how to do it. I've now started a new thread with my question. Thanks guys!

IlWB, I had something like that when bought my XRT last March. There is a plastic insert just above the chain that keeps the chain from rubbing. The plastic piece locking points wouldn't hold mine in place and it would hang out, leaving the chain to rub. The dealer used glue to get to stay in place. Hope that helps you.
