Couple questions about forks and clutch

My bike is a demo bike, so I expected some wear on it.

However a couple of things have stumped me.

1) There isn't a lock nut on the clutch tensioner at the handle?

That thing is a coarse threaded bolt that is constantly backing out on me when I adjust the nut. Was the supposed to be a lock nut or was that not part of the design?

2) The stems of my fork tubes have two different designs.

For the record I'm referring to the cap that protrudes from the triple clamp.

The left tube has a silver cap that says "TEN S<->H" on it. I assumed the TEN stood for tension, but the other one is gold and says "Comp S<->H" on it.

Uhhmm, is it supposed to be like that? if so, why, if not, which one is factory original?

Not sure how it works yet but the information is covered in the owners manual. The preceding link is for a 2010 1050.

Well at least I know the name of the fork tube cap - rebound/dampener adjuster.

The clutch was a wash - they indicated a lock nut but did not show it.

I'll poke around online some more.

Yes they are supposed to be like that as one leg controls the compression and the other controls the rebound.

Hmm, interesting. I would have expected both fork tubes to have the same design.

Now I know.

Thanks for the replies.
