Dymag BS

i have a 2010 tiger SE. earlier this year dymag was running a special price on some of their wheels. i was ready to spend 3 to 4 thousand dollars on a set of light weight wheels from dymag. after trading emails with them for over 3 months they would not tell me how much a set of wheels would cost me or even which wheels they make would fit my tiger. i finally gave up & put the money into my truck (lift kit, wheels & tires).
so my question is, has anyone out there gotten wheels from dymag within the last 6 months or so for their tiger? if so how did you do it? which ones did you get? and if you don't mind sharing, about how much did they cost?
i guess the reason for my questions is, i'm still pissed about their lack of customer service with someone that had money in hand & ready to spend.

I don't know how you can be so lucky! Whenever I have a dollar to spare (and even when I don't) there is always someone eager to take my money or credit card.

There was talk on that other forum about dymags at one time and I thought one person bought some; however, I may be confusing it with someone posting about having run dymags on a different bike than the Tiger1050.

I am a member of various racing forums - run a GSXR track bike and IF you can source the correct wheels, sprocket carriers etc then the improvements are close to the best bang for buck.
However - I have heard of numerous and ongoing issues with people who have bikes, other than that of mainstream, getting correct spacers, carriers etc.
I reckon the reason you were getting poor service is because of this ongoing issue. Dymag are a small production company catering to the "many"...i doubt they'd actually eno****er too many ppl requesting CF or MG wheels for a tiger - especially as it's some what assumed that the tiger has some off road capability.
Put your money into a turbo and be done with it lol.
Si.

i have even contacted a company here in the USA that "WAS" a dymag dealer & they told me they droppped the dymag line because the company was to hard to deal with. so much for a company wanting to sell a product in the USA. i just find it hard to believe that a company like dymag that makes a quality product would be so ignorant to pass up a chance to make a lot of money in a market like we have here.

Well, for whatever it's worth I just noticed that someone from Dymag UK has registered as a member here. His intro is in the appropriate section and he states he's heard there's problems.

I hope this helps.

Yes we heard on the grapevine some of you guys were having problems so i have popped on to give you some info.

Inspector Tom: Sorry if you felt mucked about by anybody our end i assure you this was unintentional and we would never turn away business! The promotional offer we had on earlier this year was a big event for us and it is possible that some inquiry's got lost and for that i can only apologize. Prices can vary because of different bike fitments and spec's on our wheel sets, but we will always try to accommodate any special requirements you might have. The Tiger 1050 SE is a bike that we would of had to spec at the time which may also explain the delay.

Sim1050: Yes we are a small team currently, and growing back in to the size company we were before is going to take time and support from the fans and loyal customers we have had over the years, but we are focusing on being able to offer the best selection of bikes at the quality Dymag are renown for.

With the USA we have now agreed a distribution deal with Skip from Orient Express www.orientexpress.com who will now deal with all USA based inquires and sales. We did have a distributor in the US prior to this but we parted ways a few months ago mutually, and we are over the moon to announce our new partnership with Orient Express.

I hope this helps some what and please feel free to ask any questions

Tom
