Snatching at low speeds
Help needed getting frustrated,I have adjusted the chain at least 6 times with different settings 35mm 40mm 45mm etc and still cant get rid of the snatching at low revs is it really the chain or any other reasons why it should snatch and clonk?

Sounds more like a tune issue.
Any engine intake mods done? If so, have you had an ecu tune uploaded?

Only had the bike a week and trying to understand what needs to be done. Its only done 2700 Km and the shop are not helpfull at all. I guess they got my cash. I sold my GSX1400 to buy this it ran as smooth as silk straight out of the box. I keep telling myself I have made the right choice.

There are a zillion posts on this topic. Tune is seen as a major culprit and your dealer won't be any help with that. Two mechanical things helped mine, an after-market can and taking almost every bit of slack out of the throttle cable. Highly recommend reading as much as you can stand on TuneECU. If you want to stick with your dealer, ask them to put in the TOR tune in and give it a try.

I have the same snatching at low revs on my bike, The Tiger engine is high on torque, I bought my bike in May this year and have got used to its ways,
I ride the clutch a bit more at low gears to avoid the snatch and have my chain slack set to 45mm on the tightest point of the chain,
I am in the process of replacing my chain at the moment to stop the clonking chain as found my chain tension varies over 10mm from tight to lose,
I don't think this is a problem once you get used to the clutch and thottle responce control at low revs,
Enjoy Your Bike,

Tiger's are a bit like this
My Tiger tends to run really well after a service but gradually as the miles get added the bike begins to surge a bit at low rev's.
However, I tend to think that Tigers are a bit surgy at low revs, the tripple does not idle that smoothly. Conversely what you do get is an engine full of character, smooth power throughout its rev range with a stack of grunt. I've got used to mine and I adjust the throttle cable to remove slack.
Cheers.

When I look at the TuneECU panel I'll watch my idle bounce about plus or minus 100 rpm. I tend to agree with MrKiwi. That's just nature of the beast stuff and really not a big deal. To me snatchy throttle response is only a problem if you are in maintenance throttle going though a turn and start to get on the throttle to blast out and you go into the herky jerks. I only got that when I was messing around listening to guys on the forums chasing ghosts.

The Tiger doesn't have to surge, and IME it's down to the tune. I have a home-made tune (based on one of Wayne Macdonald's) installed on mine that runs in open loop except at idle and it's creamy smooth from 1500rpm upwards (although I have to say I rarely use anything over 8K).
The main problem with the standard tune seems to be that it's constantly trying to attain the magical 14.5 air / fuel ratio at low engine speeds and this causes the hunting.
ps most people use at least 50mm chain slack so that's a bit on the tight side as well.

Idle speed for a Tiger is 1170 rpm. As previously stated it does vary about 100rpm's above and below "about" 1170. Mine is creamy smooth at 1500rpm up too. Surging really isn't how I would describe the idle, but it is NOT sitting on 1170 like a rock. If your valve clearance and TB readings were all perfect, and all kinds of things were perfect, maybe it would be a rock. Personally I keep the engine in the open loop everywhere.
Chain clearance is spec'ed at 35-45mm, so 50mm isn't on the tight side, but IMO about right.

2006 Tiger 955i. ~27K miles. 50mm chain slack. Top gear roll-on from 1,500rpm is snatch-free, even with passenger and luggage.
Make sure your valve clearances are in spec and the throttle bodies are synchronised!
