Longhaul pillion seat

Having issues with the longhaul pillion seat on my '16 Thunderbird Storm and I'm trying to work out if it's a problem with my bike or a design flaw.
It has now fallen off twice in 5 months (8000km), we assume it is the rear bolt vibrating loose, first time was attributed to the sales department fitting it incorrectly and it was replaced under warranty, the replacement was done by the workshop foreman as per the specs.
Because the bolt is under the edge of the seat, you can't actually see it at a quick glance so you can't tell if it's loose unless you grab the pillion seat and it moves.
Has anyone else had similar issues?

I have had the bolt come loose a few times on my 2010. I have the Corbin seat on my bike and the only way it secures to the bike is with that rear screw so I make a habit of regularly checking it. I suppose if you were really concerned about it you could get a longer screw that goes right through the fender and put a lock nut on it; a bit awkward to tighten but it shouldn't come loose. Or you could put some Loctite on it; (not the permanent type though).

The dealer was supposed to loctite it when they originally fitted the seat, they definitely did loctite it after they had to replace it under warranty.
Currently there is a longer bolt with a locknut but it's heading back to Triumph as they are trying to work out WHY it is happening.
Bike is only 5 months old (and 5000 miles), it should not be having these sorts of problems already.

2013 T-Bird Storm, and, yes. I've had the passenger seat, rear bolt, come loose from time to time. It's pretty damn annoying and it shouldn't happen. I love my bike but there are just some things that could have been done better. I don't like how the bolt is underneath the seat. It is a PITA to get to. Triumph should have made the bolt more easily accessible.

Watch the hex bolt though - if the pillion seat gets used a lot, you can tear the vinyl on the hex head vs the rounded button head bolt.

I did, bike's back, seat is off to Mustang for reinspection of foam density. On the oem seat again. Awful. Pulled the stoooopid tank badges off the new tank and haven't put on the old LT badges again yet.

Get a rubber washer to put between the seat tang and fender that is large enough to clear the post that comes out of the fender.

Not too thick, but enough so that when you tighten the bolt, there's a tiny bit of squish. It'll keep you from scratching your fender, and keep the bolt tight in the hole, since there is now pressure holding it on. A silicon washer will work as well. You don't want the seat to be able to wiggle on the bolt. Just don't monster torque it, and it should be ok.
