Can anyone help me out with where the best place is to install a load equalizer for the rear turn signals on a 2015 Thunderbird Commander?

Consider not installing the equalizer at all. All the equalizer does is waste all the power (as heat) the LEDs are saving and all to just flash 1Hz slower. Put LEDs in the front, too and don't worry about it. :ride

widegld, any chance you will change the front to LED?
May be easier to just change the flasher module rather than mess with load equalizers. And as noted above, they just soak up electricity to mimic the incandescent lamps.
Not sure what type (2 or 3 blade) flasher module is on the Thunderbird but I went to a CF13GL02 flasher module on my America. Started on one end with LED and then did the other, the new flasher worked correctly with mixed lamp types and all LED.

TBirds have been notoriously finicky when it comes to load equalizers. All work fine with the engine off but once running, the ECU gets confused and the turn signals freeze up. Recommend you clip some in and check with the engine running before you go to the trouble of running your wires and mounting the resistors.

If you get it working reliably, please let us know what you used.

Wish I would have read this before I soldered and heat shrinked it all up! haha damn it!!!
