I cleaned the ''buttons'' on the disc, they were locked up pretty good, then I decided to clean the calipers inside around the pistons. Then I used some of the disc brake quiet lol, thats what the stuff I have is called, and put a little on the backing plate of the pads. Now I have to take it to a dealer and have the brakes bled cause 1 of the pistons popped out on its own, never touched the lever, and some fluid came out. I guess with ABS its not just a matter of adding fluid and pumping the lever up and bleeding the air out, it has to be done by a dealer.
The OEM Triumph pads are notorious for chirping! Once I replaced them with EBC double sintered pads the squeaks went away. The EBC pads last twice as long...
Front or rear? I'm cleaning my fronts as we speak and they are thin but have over 40,000 mi.on them. I'm also on my third set of rears ( 1 stock and 2 EBC ).
