I would think thats about what the TORs net with the TORs tune. So far i'm not seeing any reason to go with any of the pipes we've seen so far unless i want louder which i definatly don't. We're still at the same point we've been at since day one.....custom tunes. And Mickey uses the PC so when they end up with a custom tune with that you will have to buy a PC to get the goods. Thats not necessarily bad unless like many of us have decided already, the tuneboy is the way to go. I'm not buying pipes till all the data is in. Otherwise i'll end up with a closet full of experiments and a much smaller bank account. I would suggest anyone thinking of any pipes do the same. take your time and wait till all final resets are in. We don't yet know which pipes will be supported by which tuner or what the dynos will show. Cat vs decat, etc etc. Almost no data yet exists, so this is the time to be patient. If you have Jay Leno money then disregard this post.

I'd rather spend my money hunting performance than buying shiny crap personally. And since I am after a bit more volume and better tone this is a better buy than the TORs for me. The drop in poundage is a nice bonus.
Daz, Did you ever do a sound clip of your TOR's? I haven't been able to find one. I like to hear and see the performance numbers on the TOR's
yeah, in fact i did a comparison of the stock longs and TOR longs. Unfortunatly i don't have that file anymore. The TORs are straight thru so they aren't too restrictive except in the diameter which may be smaller than some others. But as has been said, that can really hurt torque with the lack of back pressure. I think any bigger and benefits will suffer unless the intake is increased to the point where the bike is putting out enough to make larger diameters necassary, theres a balance there i'm sure. I can only tell you TORs are not loud but considerably louder than stock. At idle and cruise they are nearly the same volume tho.

I'm in already and jazzed by this news. While the performance improvements seem minimal without the custom tune, just knowing that customs tunes are coming is encouraging. I'm looking for both a little more sound and performance tweaks and it looks like we'll get the sound now and performance bump later. I'm cool with that.
I do have a stupid question though (of course...), do both PC and Tuneboy create tunes for the same bikes and configurations or do they carve up the market, i.e. if PC comes out first with a tune for our Birds with the BC pipes does that necessarily mean Tuneboy will not? Of course, I'm going with the one that comes out first but just curious.
Here's a link to their final sound test:

I'm with you Hyper. I think the long term performance opportunities with these pipes is really good. I need pipes for the pending BB install and the BC pipes tick all the right boxes for me.
As per your question on Power Commander v Tuneboy. Truthfully, I don't think Power Commander knows or cares about the existence of the Tuneboy. The Tuneboy is mostly for European bikes and generally just has a different market share than the PC (and much smaller one to boot). They aren't going to be considering what each other is doing concerning tunes.
I don't think (heavy emphasis on think) that Power Commander distributes any after market tunes but that some manufacturers do (as what BC is planning on doing) where as Tuneboy manages and distributes tunes for various configuration mods. The two companies just have different models.
Hey guys! I just wanted to clarify that our exhaust is a complete "cat-less" exhaust system. As far as Tuneboy, we feel that it is definitely an option for Thunderbird owners because Power Commander is several months out. We will be talking to Wayne at Tuneboy to see if he has used the Tuneboy on the new Thunderbird. Tuning on a dyno with Tuneboy is more difficult but possible. All of our dyno runs have been on a low mileage Thunderbird that has not been completely broken in. Freedom Cycle in Reno, Nevada has volunteered to dyno the BC Pipes on a broken in bike. Hopefully the results will be available in a week or two. We will keep you posted on any updates. We will also be posting an install video of our new pipes.

Glad to hear you are looking into the Tuneboy. On paper the Power Commander V with auto tune sounds great but the limited install space and the questionable performance of the autotune really throw some doubts on it as a proper solution. The Tuneboy has been gaining ground as the preferred option with a lot of us bird lovers.
Thanks for continuing to support the product with the further dyno reports and install video. I'm anxious to get my pipes in.
