Talking works great!

I have owned the ABS model for about eight weeks now and it performs great. It actually activated just the other day as I was exiting the highway. The off ramp was really bumpy and I exited too hot and had to apply the breaks with vigor to keep from running up the back of the car in front of me. As I did the ABS kicked in and I could slightly feel it through the back break pedal. I was able to get stopped with little drama.

I suspect that the bumpiness of the off ramp was causing the rear wheel to bounce up and down and if i had not had the ABS would have surely off locked up the rear wheel trying to stop. Hard to say what he out come would have been but I did have the ABS and it worked as advertised by modulating the break and keeping the wheels from locking up. This allowed me to concentrate on getting stopped and kept the bike in a nice straight line helping me to maintain control.

Performance as regards ????

Performance regarding engine etc etc....same as the non ABS model I would assume .

Performance regarding brakes as OKC Triple has said, having made use of ABS once, no wheel lock up plus the pulsating thru the lever ( s), plus a fancy looking pulsator ring back and front ;-)

Leave the pork pies for now - get the sausage rolls while they're hot!

I have them on the America and they've saved my ass twice already. I'm not a fan of them on cars but on a bike there definitely a life saver.
