Aux Power Socket Kit
Hi Guys
Some info regarding said kit, if any of you are contemplating fitting the aux power socket, you will probably find the electrical connector for it |( marked by blue tape under the R / H panel "sitting on the bike" and just to the right of the top rubber fixing thingy ) too short as I have just found out, there is a kit ( T2500642 ) required to extend the connector, thats from Triumph, so I am now waiting for one myself, they apparently discovered a problem after some complaints ..Oh well we al live and learn ..hopefully its gonna be free !!! cos it should be shirley.. will let you know ..
Kind Regards

Yes! Thanks for the tip kraftdinners. There's nothing I hate more than getting a new toy only to learn it requires something else that is sold separately.

Kraft - what type of power socket is this and where does it mount?
BTW - I found a 5V mini-USB adapter that attaches directly to the battery. Powers my GPS and phone nicely. It will power anything that can be powered/charged via a the USB port on a computer.

Hi Engage
Its the Triumph accessory socket thingy, (part #A9938039) its mounting bracket is mounted on the ignition switch plate and kinda sits at the side of the ignition switch, a wiring connector for it is incorporated in the loom, but as I say its too fricken short, so triumph has provided a male / female extension connector, I assume thats what it is, will find out thursday, apparently later models will have modified looms ..I only got it as I have the associated Triumph plug from the Tiger, used it with the battery tender here...as I have an Alarm installed. also check out www.triumphinstructions.com for a diagram of it , like the sound of your USB adaptor..will surf the inner reaches of the net for one ;-)..
Regards
