Talking Will I need a Tune?

I've got a K&N filter coming for my bird. I'm still running my stock pipes. Will I need a tune or will the ecu compensate for it?

No. According to all sources the ECU adjusts for the difference in airflow, so no tune needed.

All dealer sources say no and as first hand experience I say no. I did that install about a week and a half ago. I did notice a bit of a change, quicker throttle response and a bit of a decrease in popping but nothing negative (unless you like popping then it's a bit of a let down) but no tune needed.

Talking

That's what I thought but wanted confirmation. I'm a believer in K&N filters, everything I put them on always seems to run better. Funny thing about my pipes. I know my hearing isn't getting better, but my stock pipes seem to be getting louder and I'm hearing some popping when i decelerate. I don't mind it, I kind of like the low rumble.
