Welcome to the T-Bird club lmp88! Let us know how you like the bike. I've got an LT and changed my pipes, added a tach and a few other mods. Great power cruiser and it loves long trips.
Come on up to the Bennington Triumph Bash in Vermont, 2-4Jun (many of us get up there Thursday, though). In addition to all of the other Triumphs, we usually get about 10-15 Tbirds together! It's a great time, great people and GREAT riding!
Lots of guys come up from the NYC/NJ area, too! There are a few threads around here on it, so check it out, and book your room asap!!!

PS - welcome, and congrats! I'm in Upstate NY (just north of Albany) if you ever wander up this way!
The looks your bike will get will more than make up for the exclusivity of it. I was standing in a store talking to the owner when an 80 year old man walking past my bike stopped, walked around it twice, stared a few more seconds and walked off. They're great cruisers that are comfortable enough to take over the road and at leftover prices are probably one of the best values out there.
I picked up my Commander two days ago and only have one good ride in due to weather. I look forward to no mods and tons of kilometers. I'm easy to please and this bike is awesome just the way I picked it up. You guys can buy yourself some farkle, but I'm buying gasoline.
