I asked a similar question on the Speedmaster subforum, but I was advised to do that here instead, probably I will get more answers? That's my hope.
Looking to trade in my Speedmaster for a Thunderbird Storm. The Speedie is the heaviest bike I've ever ridden; my other bike is a Street Triple R. While the Storm is a nice looking bike, most dealers refuse to let me test and I am really scared of buying a "lazy" motorcycle that is hard to maneuver. I understand is a cruiser, but I test rode a Harley Breakout and it was awful! I felt like I was pushing the handlebars on corners because the weight.
Here are the main things I am looking for, in no order (compared to my 2016 Speedmaster)
-Better brakes
-More comfortable seat and riding position (I am 5'9' and 200 pounds)
-More room for a potential passenger. This probably will be like 5% of the time. My gf likes to ride.
I put TORs on my Speedie. LOVE, LOVE the sound. Do I have a similar TOR part for the Storm or the exhaust note is good enough that is not needed?
Any input especially from people who moved away from SpeedMaster will be highly appreciated!
PS: my Speedmaster has like 2k miles and I owe like 4k. Could I get like 5k in a trade in? I know I am losing money anyway, but trying to get an idea of how much this bike may sell right now...
