So had my thunderbird 1.5 weeks and it failed to start on the way back from my third trip out on it. The battery was flat so bumped started it to get home. Have put on new battery which i like to do when i get a bike and it still wont start. It all lights up but does nothing when i hit the electric start. Not even a clicking sound. Any ideas. Could it be the pesky alarm? 2010 tbird 1700
So I have found that what is happening is the lighting and starter solenoid fuse (15a) keeps blowing... i say keeps it is intermittent but enough to know its a problem not just a duff fuse. seems to be when i have used the bike on a good run and it is nice and hot switch it off the try to start it and bam!!! the fuse goes before it fires and sometime will keep blowing fuses until cold again... i had to up rate to a 20a just to start it and get home the other night. not sure what would be causing it though
Are there any 3rd-party/aftermarket electrical accessories on that circuit?
